In 2010, at the age of only 22, he was elected city councilor of Venice and held the position of group leader. Re-elected in 2015, he was appointed by the Mayor Brugnaro Councilor for Social Cohesion, Labor, Infrastructure and Economic Development.

During the 2015 – 2020 mandate he held further positions within local and national commissions and bodies including the Conference of Mayors Ulss 12 (later ULSS 3), the Network of Protection and Social Inclusion set up at the Ministry of Labor and the Control room for the implementation of the National Anti-Trafficking Plan set up by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

In 2020, in addition to the confirmation of Social Cohesion, Labor and Economic Development, he is assigned the additional powers of Tourism and Residence Policies.

He supports the Mayor in the management of the Covid 19 emergency, working on the health and social front, a commitment already started in 2020. In the role of Councilor for Tourism and Economic Development, he met institutions, university researchers and entrepreneurs to encourage the restart of the city and the tourism sector from a sustainable and experiential perspective and qualitatively superior to fleeting tourism.

He is the President of the Destination Management Organization (Ogd) of Venice – the territorial body made up of public and private entities for the integrated management of Veneto tourist destinations – within which he strongly desired the participation of the main cultural institutions of the city. , to foster greater synergy in tourism planning, involving all the players in the sector.

Together with the Mayor, he also contributed to the drafting of the Decalogue of proposals for the relaunch of Florence and Venice, a programmatic document drawn up in concert with the Municipal Administration of Florence for the relaunch of the cities of art.
