Romain Rousseau

Senior Director, Digital Innovation, Ryder System

Romain is the Senior Director of Digital Innovation for Ryder System, leading sales, marketing and technology for the company’s exciting new vehicle sharing platform COOP . Romain is a marketer with expertise in digital marketing and online customer acquisition.

Romain joined Ryder System in 2014 to lead Digital Marketing and Demand Generation. In his role, Romain initiated Ryder’s digital transformation and helped grow demand generation revenue from $14 to $91M.

Romain has a taste for entrepreneurship and co-founded two companies. His first venture, BrowserNation, developed innovative browser add-on solutions to improve connections between entertainers, athletes or sports organizations and their fan base. He also co-founded an online sports-publishing network offering news and interactive content on automotive (TopSpeed.com) and basketball (HoopsVibe.com).

Romain started his career at Club Med, launching the company’s first online reservation system. His role quickly expanded to all aspects of online marketing. He negotiated distribution agreements with Travelocity and Expedia to expand Club Med’s market share in the North-American all-inclusive travel market and created Club Med’s first last-minute sales program.

Romain earned both his Bachelor of Business and Master-equivalent in International Marketing from the ESSCA Business school in France. He is married with a daughter and has been living in Miami since 2000.
