Sr. Market Development and Communications Manager for the Americas Region, UPS
As senior market development and communications manager, Rodrigo Garcia-Nieto is responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new products and services in Latin America. In this role, Rodrigo is also responsible for directing strategic marketing activities for targeted segments as well as implementing fully integrated communications programs for the Americas Region. Furthermore, Rodrigo oversees all aspects of external communications, including advertising, public relations, events and sponsorships, digital marketing, customer communications, and ups.com for the Americas region.
Prior to assuming to joining UPS in 2011, Rodrigo served as lead communications advisor for NextEra Energy, formerly FPL Group, an electric power company. In this capacity he was responsible for coordinating all communications efforts for NextEra Energy’s five nuclear plants in the United States. From 1997 to 2010, Rodrigo worked in six roles at Porter Novelli, a global public relations firm that is part of Omnicom Group, before being promoted to vice president. Rodrigo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Anahuac University in Mexico City, Mexico.
