A 20-year veteran in digital media, technology, and entertainment, Minjae Ormes is the Chief Marketing Officer at Visible, the first digital only wireless carrier in the U.S. Backed by Verizon and designed with innovative first to market technology, Visible has no stores, no contracts, and is built with a seamless consumer journey. In her role, Minjae leads all of the strategic marketing efforts across Visible, including Brand, Creative, Communications, Social, Member Engagement, and more.
Before joining Visible, Minjae, who is regarded as a progressive, creative marketer, led the global partner marketing and media teams at YouTube. Her scope included overseeing partnerships marketing activities and media activations for all of YouTube's subscription products. Most notably, Minjae led the launch of YouTube’s first ever top creator campaign globally, solidifying the platform as a top millennial destination and the leader in content and streaming.
Earlier in her career, Minjae’s expertise were instrumental in building successful new franchises and digital initiatives for a number of leading organizations including The Walt Disney Studios, National Geographic Channel, and Tribeca Film Institute.
Born and raised in Korea and a mother of two girls, Minjae earned her Bachelor of Science in Foreign Services from Georgetown University and a Master of Arts in Cinema Studies from New York University. She has received multiple recognitions for her work, including an AdWeek Media Campaign of the Year Award, People’s Choice Webby Award, PR Campaign of the Year Gold Award, and various Mark Awards for Marketing Excellence.
Above all, and with a holistic approach to inclusion, community, and engagement, Minjae is a steadfast champion for equity, equality, and fairness in the work place. During her tenure at Google/Youtube, she was a key facilitator of an internal professional advancement program where over the years, she worked with hundreds of peers on personal and career development.
