Laura Poffenberger

Head of Digital Strategy, Cricket Wireless

As Head of Digital Strategy, Laura is responsible for Cricket Wireless’ digital strategy, online sales marketing, A/B testing and personalization, virtual sales, and the digital producer team (PMO).

A veteran of bringing video to the digital space, Laura spent five years at Warner Media in roles at CNN and Turner Sports. As senior director of product strategy for CNN Digital, she led the development of CNNgo, designed to reinvent the television experience, including patent-pending advertising innovation. As the director of digital product management for Turner Sports digital, she led the development of a new product suite for the NCAA partnership and March Madness (R). She has also served in lead roles at Yahoo! where she worked on AT&T and DirecTV product innovation. Before that, Cox Communications and a tech startup.

She has held leadership roles with various industry organizations, including Women in Cable Television (WICT), American Diabetes Association and the PATH Foundation. She was also a founding board member of Women in Wireless’ Atlanta chapter. In 2012, WICT honored Laura and her team with the National Award for Top Programming Nationwide. She also received the WICT Red Letter Award in 2010. In 2018, she was recognized as one of The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Women Who Mean Business.

Laura earned her undergraduate degree in classics and art history from the University of Florida.
