Target drops new ad campaign for Target Circle Week

  • Target has tapped actress Kristen Wiig to return to her role as Target Lady in a new national advertising campaign.
  • The effort promotes Target Circle Week, a special week of discount shopping for loyalty members, which runs April 7-13.
  • The integrated campaign will feature 12 total spots appearing across TV, social media and other digital platforms.  In the spots, Wiig plays the Target Lady, highlighting the various ways consumers can experience Target Circle.  

Target is relaunching its Target Circle loyalty program this month with two service tiers: one free and one paid. 

The new paid option, Target Circle 360, will include free same-day delivery and free two-day shipping. The tier is being offered at a $49 introductory price for the first year. The price will increase to $99 per year after the introductory period ends on May 18. 

The revamped Target Circle loyalty program resembles Amazon Prime by offering perks for payment, particularly free 2-day shipping. 

The new campaign is designed to get consumers excited about these new offerings by featuring the iconic actress, along with Prince’s “Baby I’m a Star.”
