Pepsi Celebrates 125 Year Anniversary with New Logo, Pepsi Diner & 125 Days of Activations

The Pepsi brand was born on August 28, 1898 in New Bern, North Carolina, when pharmacist Caleb Bradham renamed his digestif from “Brad’s Drink” to “Pepsi-Cola.” To mark the milestone, Pepsi is rolling out of its new logo, a new ad campaign and a series of activations that will lead up to New Year’s Eve, starting with the Pepsi Diner in New York.

The Diner, which will be open October 19-25, is inspired by a classic American diner and will feature memorabilia and an installation of a history of the brand’s campaigns including: “Is Pepsi OK,” “The Pepsi Girl,” and “Pepsi-Cola Soda Shop.” The activation supports the brand’s positioning to celebrate “unapologetic enjoyment.” Menu items will be inspired by the #BetterWithPepsi brand platform.

To get the word out, the brand has debuted the new “All the Best Moments are Better With Pepsi” commercial that places the Pepsi logo on cans and glasses at the center of a good time, be it at a sporting event, a restaurant or a music event.

The iconic global brand will also host a number of activations across the US that continues to fortify the brand’s place at the center of pop culture. The events will be tied to sports, music and entertainment and will showcase the company’s history.

The celebration also includes many giveaways including texting “PEPSI125” to 81234 on August 28 to get a free Pepsi.
