LA Confidential: Talking Brand Marketing in Tinseltown

It’s not like we need a special invitation to come to Los Angeles, one of the world’s most irrepressibly sparkling cities. In addition to the beach, the restaurants and that evergreen Hollywood Walk of Fame, nerds like us love coming there because we can spark deep conversations about the collision of media, entertainment and brand marketing. And we can do it with some of the smartest and most advanced thinkers in the world.

Our next visit is for Brandfest Los Angeles, a three-day retreat for our community of brand marketers in Southern California. We’ll hear from leaders repping Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, Fox Film, Califia Farms, Sweetgreen, Mattel, UNTUCKit and many more brands.

We promise to deliver three jam-packed days of conversations and presentations:

  • On Day 1, we kick things off with a Marketing Innovation Summit hosted by our friends at Hearts & Science.
  • On Day 2, Hulu plays host in Santa Monica as we go deep on the Future of TV and Media and cap off the day with the Southwest edition of our 40 Under 40 Awards celebration that evening.
  • On Day 3, we turn our attention solely to Women in Brand Marketing for a summit in Culver City hosted by KeVita and Pitch. How far has gender equality come–and not come–and what can we all do to accelerate the process?

Our host for days 1 and 2 will be a familiar face to many of you as marketing/advertising industry pundit Chris Denson emcees. Chris is founder of Innovation Crush, an author and a well-known personality in the digital media and ad tech communities. (He was also a professional comedian at one point in his career so you’d better believe he’ll take to this hosting gig like elephants take to peanuts.)
