Lee Hurley Joins Stride as CMO

Lee Hurley has joined Stride Health as chief marketing officer.

Hurley joins the benefits management company from Northwestern Mutual, where she was chief marketing officer, where she oversaw brand and advertising, customer acquisition, field marketing and engagement, client marketing, consumer insights and creative.

In her new role, she will lead Stride Health’s marketing and vocalize its mission to help modernize employee benefits.

“I was deeply inspired by the bold mission – Stride’s goal is to fix a dated, antiquated, and inequitable benefits system that is leaving almost 60 million independent and part-time workers out,” said Hurley. “Stride has built a portable benefits platform designed specifically for independent workers. It has helped more than 3 million people save over $3 billion on everything from their health insurance to their taxes — providing them with benefits they get to keep, regardless of employment.”

“I’ve always been passionate about working for companies that are making a positive impact in people’s lives and in culture. My interests and expertise are with those that have a particular focus on improving people’s physical, mental, and financial wellbeing,” she added. “Stride ticks all of these boxes for me.”

Stride’s clients include: Gopuff, Grubhub, Amazon, Uber, Instacart, DoorDash, Red Lobster, Patreon and The Gap.

“I’m focused on scaling the company’s marketing efforts to build brand awareness and accelerate growth,” said Hurley. “A particular emphasis will be placed on building out direct-to-consumer marketing capabilities across brand, product marketing, digital and performance marketing, social, influencer, content, creative and B2B marketing, in order to increase our reach and turn Stride into a trusted household name.  I look forward to building on Stride’s success and working with this innovative team to redefine the future of benefits, making them accessible, affordable, and portable for all.”
