Nancy Smith brings 20 years of sales and marketing experience in high technology products specializing in launching new technologies and industries. Prior to her current role as Chief Marketing Officer at Hydrow, she was responsible launching the world’s first robot vacuum cleaner. Announcing Roomba with a budget of less than $50,000 she created enough buzz to make Roomba a household name. Leading global marketing as Vice President, Marketing Communications for over a decade she grew the home robot business from no revenue to over $500 million in 2013.  Nancy’s role at iRobot covered not only the home robot division, but also the government and industrial business units. She was responsible for the largest budget within the company and managing 65 global distributors. She was responsible for the sale of 13 million home robots worldwide, revolutionizing the way people clean.  

Nancy left iRobot to serve as an Entrepreneur in Residence for a Boston hardware incubator, where she acted as CMO for a number of promising startups. Nancy’s leadership has been recognized with numerous professional awards. She has been named by the Stevie Awards as Executive of the Year, has a number of Bell Ringer Awards, a Bulldog Award for Excellence in Media Relations, and a MarCom Creativity Award. She has served as an advisor to many technology and consumer businesses as well as a go to for local and national media as an expert in technology and marketing.  

Nancy has an undergraduate degree in business with specialties in marketing and advertising from Merrimack College. She has been a guest lecturer at Tufts University, Bentley University, MIT and Merrimack College.
