VP of Brand Strategy, Samba TV
In his current role, Mike Merna leads a client-direct brand strategy team that advises Fortune 500 clients from all industries on cross-platform solutions to media analytics and audience targeting. Merna brings 20+ years of experience to Samba TV with a unique perspective to the advertising business having worked in Data, Media and on the client side in Sales, Brand Management, Trade and Shopper Marketing.
Prior to Samba TV, Merna served as Head of Brand Strategy for Oracle Data Cloud where he led the development of consumer insights and solutions across all industry verticals, advising clients on audience, context and measurement strategies. He also was the Category Development Officer, CPG, for AOL, where he launched data-driven ad tech solutions and represented AOL as a thought leader to the CPG industry. He began his career on the client side, working for industry leaders, such as The Dial Corporation, Bayer Healthcare and Pfizer. Merna graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing.
He has been a speaker at CES, Digital Summit, Advertising Week, The Advertising Research Foundation, CHPA, yext ONWARD, and Path to Purchase Expo, and has been interviewed by various publications including eMarketer and AdAge.
