SVP, Film Product Development & Strategy – Digital Distribution, NBCUniversal
Michael Aaronson serves as SVP of Film Product Development & Strategy, Digital Distribution for Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. He is responsible for running all day-to-day aspects of the company’s domestic EST and VOD business, spanning its film & TV content portfolio across 40+ retailers. In this position, he manages the ongoing partner relationships, marketing strategy and media spend as well as all related product management, operations and business intelligence. Most recently, he played a key role in the development and launch of Movies Anywhere, the industry’s milestone digital movie locker & discovery application.
Prior to joining NBC Universal, Aaronson spent three years in the New Video Product Development & Marketing group at Comcast after starting his career with LEK Consulting Group’s Corporate Strategy and Merger & Acquisition Advisory.
He received his Masters of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. He currently resides in Sherman Oaks, California with his wife and two daughters.
