As president of GSD&M, Marianne brings an entrepreneurial spirit to the agency, driving its core purpose: to create ideas that make a difference while building First & Only brands. A relentless culture-builder and people-inspirer, she pushes GSD&M’s talent to think bigger, be courageous and to creatively tackle the major challenges facing today’s most iconic brands. In her 20 years at GSD&M, Marianne has touched every department while driving big ideas for brands like Southwest Airlines, Capital One, Pizza Hut, Ross and Avocados from Mexico among others. She’s a talent maximizer who’s uniquely skilled at identifying and making good talent great. She was critical in the execution of the agency’s unorthodox approach to talent sourcing, honing in on the reality that great ideas come from engaged, passionate employees, not staffing plans. When she’s not winning for us, Marianne uses her maverick spirit to create goodness in the kitchen and explores life outdoors with her husband, Joe, son, Milo, and dogs, Penguin and Pickle. Yes, Penguin is black and white, but Pickle is not green. Green is Marianne’s favorite color, though.
