Chief Marketing Officer, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority

Kate Wik serves as Chief Marketing Officer for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and is responsible for the strategic direction, management and oversight of the marketing efforts for the destination including:  Advertising, Brand Strategy & Management, Brand Public Relations, Digital Engagement, Marketing Campaigns, Destination Sales, Research, Sports Marketing and Management of Agency Partners. Kate joined the LVCVA in May of 2020. 

Prior to joining the LVCVA, Kate spent almost a decade with MGM Resorts in multiple roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy. At MGM, Kate oversaw global brand strategy, portfolio strategy, property marketing, paid media, digital and social engagement and consumer research. During her span at MGM, Kate worked in marketing leadership roles both at Property and Corporate. 

Kate began her career on the agency side of the business working at the global powerhouse, TBWA/Chiat/Day in Los Angeles, a creative boutique, G&M, and independent giant Cramer-Krasselt.  Her diverse experience across agency and client-side marketing, has afforded Kate a broad perspective on managing agency partners and running complex integrated marketing campaigns. 

Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Kate holds a degree in Political Science and Latin American Studies from The University of Arizona.  

With almost 25 years of experience in the advertising and marketing industry, Kate is a seasoned marketing professional with extensive marketing experience across travel, hospitality, entertainment, sports, and food & beverage.
