With 30 plus years of professional sales and sales management experience in technology and digital media, John Piontkowski is the Vice President For Client Sales & Strategy at Verizon Media.
John is responsible for leading a national field sales advertising team consisting of managers and sellers throughout the US focused on Fortune 500 companies and agencies. His team of sales professionals sell all aspects of Verizon Media’s solutions to accounts such as Bank of America, Nordstrom, E*Trade, Wayfair, Facebook, Geico and Sprint among others.
Prior to joining Verizon Media through the acquisition of Yahoo!, John spent more than 13 years at the Microsoft Corporation. Joining Microsoft in their enterprise software business, he moved to their advertising organization in 2006 where he held multiple roles including his last 3 years as General Manager for the East Region sales and service organization. He received the Circle of Excellence Platinum Club award for outstanding achievement given to one percent of Microsoft’s employees. John has several years of experience in the technology industry leading teams selling enterprise solutions for e-commerce, infrastructure and application development.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Villanova University.
