Chief Marketing Officer, Zappos
Ginny McCormick is the Chief Marketing Officer at Zappos.com, the experiential e-commerce and customer service company. In her role, the first in the company’s 23-year history, McCormick oversees an integrated modern marketing department, collaborating with her team on innovative ways to deliver the next generation of WOW customer experiences and business results.
A 20-year industry veteran, prior to joining the Zappos family McCormick most recently held the title of Marketing Director, Worldwide Access Point for Amazon. During her time with the leading e-commerce company, she drove global consumer and partner marketing strategies, and successfully launched an advertising business. Her storied career also holds past posts as Chief Marketing Officer at Funko and Head of Global Media at Hasbro. Throughout her 10 years spent with Hasbro, McCormick built a global media organization and led go-to-market strategies for a portfolio of brands including Nerf, Monopoly, Transformers, Play-Doh and My Little Pony. Prior to Hasbro, she drove innovative marketing across global brands including Disney Consumer Products, Mattel Interactive and Reebok. With a proven track record of driving global growth by creating consumer centric strategies that build fandom, McCormick’s career passion lies externally in disrupting customers’ expectations, and internally on organizational transformation.
A graduate of Boston College, McCormick calls Seattle home, where she lives with her partner, their three daughters, and her 6-year-old rescue Galway. Along with being an avid traveler, baker and rower (she tears up Lake Washington with her local rowing crew), you can also find McCormick setting up a game of Connect Four, of which she’s a passionate fan.
