Dr. Jake Beniflah

Founder & Executive Director, Center for Multicultural Science

Dr. Jake Beniflah is considered a thought leader and research pioneer in the advertising and marketing industry. For the last two decades, Dr. Beniflah has been suggesting that the shifting demography will inevitably change the practice of marketing and pedagogy as we know it. His single-minded mission: prepare corporate America for a multicultural America.  

Dr. Beniflah is currently the founding Executive Director of the Center for Multicultural Science, a leading U.S. non-profit, non-partisan think tank in marketing research and data science. The Center for Multicultural Science is the home of an industry-leading research and data lab. Dr. Beniflah is also a Senior Fellow at the Conference Board where he is developing new leading economic indicators for a multicultural America. Prior to launching the Center in 2010, Dr. Beniflah spent 15 years as a strategic consultant in the advertising industry working with Fortune 100 companies.  

Dr. Beniflah is a leading voice and an innovative thinker with more than 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising, IMC, research, data science, and organizational strategy. He is the founding editor of the Journal of Cultural Marketing Strategy and guest editor of the Special Issue of Multicultural Marketing in the Journal of Brand Strategy. He recently published his first book, titled The Big Shift: Redefining Marketing in a Multicultural America. Dr. Beniflah has published 20 academic articles in peer-reviewed journals in the U.S. and abroad. He has created and taught undergraduate marketing courses at Bradley University and Golden Gate University at the  
undergraduate and graduate levels.

Jake received his doctorate in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in 2010 and takes pride in blending academic rigor with marketing relevance. Jake lives in Southern California with his wife and two sons, and is a competitive basketball player. Given his subject-area expertise, professional experience and contacts, “Dr. Jake” is interested in pursuing a full-time academic or adjunct position to turn today’s students into tomorrow’s marketing leaders.
