Dan Sutton

Director of Brand Management, Riot Games

Dan is the Director of Brand Management & Head of IP Publishing at Riot Games working on building out the League of Legends brand and extending the IP across the world.  

Prior to Riot Dan was the lead facilitator and brand strategist of the Google BrandLab where his role was to develop customized workshops for brands, agencies and partners with a focus on the content, technology, media and measurement. Prior to that he was the Managing Director of the brand innovation and design division of the Martin Agency in Richmond, Virginia. Prior to that Dan lead the Global Mac team at Apple’s design and communications group. His work involved managing a variety of disciplines, from graphic design to packaging to retail environments as well as Apple.com. Previously he worked at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where he launched their international office and managed the Burger King business, helping to bring “The King” and “Subservient Chicken” to Europe.  He was also part of the team that launched the MINI brand in the U.S. and worked on the “Let’s Motor” campaign from 2001-2003. Between his two stints with Crispin, Dan also worked at Wieden + Kennedy on both Nike and Electronic Arts working on the Tiger Woods and Need For Speed franchises.  

Outside of work Dan is a bit of a gym rat, loves biking, gaming and reading.
