Vice President of Marketing, Mars Food North America
Dan Jackson has been the Vice President of Marketing for Mars Food North America since August 2017. In this role, Dan spearheads the marketing team and brand strategies for the Uncle Ben’s® and Seeds of Change™ food brands, and serves as a member of the Mars Food Management Team in North America. His team is responsible for advertising, digital, shopper marketing, consumer insights, and innovation. With an understanding of category and market dynamics, Dan builds the business plans to deliver short and long term growth.
Dan joined Mars, Incorporated – the parent company to Mars Food – in 2014, when he drove the integration of the IAMS™ pet food brand team into Mars after the acquisition from Procter & Gamble. In the company’s Petcare business, Dan successfully turned around the dry dog food business from a decline including growing PEDIGREE® to the #1 share position for the first time. He also led the growth of Cesar® to become the #1 US wet dog food brand, while growing the entire Mars wet dog food category.
Prior to joining Mars, Dan spent about 15 years at Procter & Gamble, across brand management, sales, and engineering for categories including Petcare, Personal Care (Old Spice and Gillette) and Household Care (Dawn, Swiffer, Febreze). He also held a role as a sales and marketing manager on the Walmart team, working on joint business planning and merchandising.
Dan enjoys traveling with his family – his wife, Alison, and two kids Annabell (7) and Tyler (5) – and loves coaching youth sports.
