Vice President, Shopper and Category Development, Tyson Foods
Chris is the Vice President of Shopper and Category Development at Tyson Foods, Inc. and responsible for leading and developing Category Leadership, Shopper Insights, Shopper Marketing and Shopper Activation functions. Previously, Chris was the Vice President of Customer Development at Sara Lee Corp and Hillshire Brands. He is responsible for the creation of Tyson/Hillshire Shopper and Trip Engagement in Protein, redeveloping Tyson’s industry-leading suite of Category Leadership Platforms, and the reinvention of the Shopper Marketing and Shopper Activation functions. Chris helped elevate Tyson/Hillshire’s standing within the industry for Shopper Marketing with a Hub Ranking of the Top 5 CPG Manufacturers. Additionally, he increased retailers share of mind in Category Management with Advantage Survey Ranking in the Top 5 and significant jumps in Kantar Rankings. Most recently, Chris is a 2017 inductee into the Shopper Marketing Hall of Fame.
Preceding his current roles, Chris was with PepsiCo, The Gillette Company and The Dial Corp in a variety of executive leadership positions where he helped build and develop Brand, Category and Shopper Capability. Chris has his Master’s in Business Administration from Drake University. Also, Chris is the newest Board Member at Making Change®, a national point-of-purchase charitable organization benefiting communities.
