Christine Kettmer

Senior Director, Global Enterprise Insight & Strategy, Marriott International

Christine A. Kettmer is a Senior Director with the Global Enterprise Insight & Strategy team at Marriott International.  In this capacity, she formulates enterprise-level customer insights and helps define long-range strategic planning efforts.  

Most recently, Christine led the Global Brand Management function for JW Marriott, overseeing the brand’s strategy, planning, performance, development and growth for 95+ hotels.  Among other responsibilities throughout 2019, Christine spearheaded the roll-out and training of the evolved JW Marriott positioning work to various property teams across the Asia Pacific region.  Prior to this position, Christine served as a Senior Director with Marriott International’s Customer Experience (CX) Insights team.  She supported the development of consumer needs and synthesized research insights into usable and actionable steps for The Americas, the largest Continent within Marriott International’s portfolio of over 7,400 hotels and 31 brands.  

Before joining Marriott International, Christine held various brand management positions at Johnson & Johnson in its Consumer division, including on the JOHNSON’S® Baby and AVEENO® Body Care teams, responsible for marketing and forecasting brands valued at $285MM.  Prior to business school, she worked in public relations and marketing positions at Hager Sharp, Inc. in Washington, DC, and served as the Communications Coordinator for Franciscans International in Geneva, Switzerland.  

Christine holds an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University with concentrations in Marketing and Social Entrepreneurship and a certificate in Health Sector Management.  She received a BA from The College of the Holy Cross, where she majored in English and Spanish.  For the past several years, Christine has participated as a speaker and panelist at multiple travel, hospitality, market research and CX conferences/trainings.
