Chris Jones

VP, Communications, FanDuel

Chris Jones serves as Vice President, Communications for FanDuel Group the premier gaming destination in the United States with a portfolio of brands across its sportsbook, casino, racing and daily fantasy sports units. FanDuel Group is a division of Flutter Entertainment (FTSE: PDYPY) a global sports gaming and entertainment company with more than 20 million customers globally.

In this role, Jones leads the company’s consumer and corporate communications departments and has oversight for corporate social responsibility, internal communications and plays a strategic role in the company’s responsible gambling advocacy efforts. His team focuses on FanDuel’s financial disclosures, partnership marketing, new state launches, go-to-market strategy, consumer PR and event support among a host of other items.


Prior to FanDuel, Jones was the Global Chief Communications Officer for IPG Mediabrands, the media and marketing solutions division of Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG). There he oversaw all global communications for the network responsible for leading a coordinated approach to marketing investments, inclusive of brand, internal and external communications, client events, as well as digital and social channels. Jones spent seven years with the company and held positions of increasing authority including Managing Director of Global Communications at IPG agency Initiative.

At Initiative he led a re-branding effort, cited in the agency’s win of the Amazon media business which has grown to more than $1 billion in billings. Jones also served as Chief Marketing Officer of Sizmek, the independent buy-side advertising platform, acquired by Amazon in 2019. During his tenure he was responsible for leading Sizmek’s global marketing efforts including developing a go-to-market strategy across its ad serving, demand side platform (DSP), data management platform (DMP) and verification businesses which operated in more than 70 countries connecting more than 20,000 advertisers and 3,600 agencies to audiences around the world.


Prior to Sizmek, Jones was Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications for MDC Media Partners and its full-service agency Assembly. He helped to significantly strengthen Assembly’s position in the marketplace, as one of the first data-centric media agencies built for the digital era. Highlights of his tenure included Assembly being named Ad Age’s 2017 Media Agency of the Year. Jones has also held marketing and communications positions at several companies including Marsh & McClennan Cos., Cendant Corporation, Havas Media Group and Univision Communications. He began his career at ESPN Networks. In 2006, Jones was named
as part of TV Week magazine’s “Cable Television Executive Team of the Year” for his work with the Video Advertising Bureau.


Jones received both his Bachelor of Arts in Literature & Media Communications and a Master of Business Administration in Managerial Marketing from Pace University. He makes his home in Westchester County with his wife and their two children.
