Carol Vella is the Associate Director, Marketing – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Walmart. At Walmart, she leads DEI strategy related to external marketing communications and internal best practices for the marketing department, such as recruiting and training. Carol also serves as the Executive Co-Chair of the Northwest Arkansas Network of Executive Women Chapter, boasting 1400+ members and a 100+ volunteer leadership team. She proudly serves as a founding member of the City of Bentonville Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce and on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Federation of Arkansas.
Carol has spent the last 10 years in Bentonville, AR, since completing her MBA, working in marketing, product development and sales. Carol’s passion for DEI is shared by her husband and two daughters, 6 and 8. She holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology from New York University, an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, a Food Industry Executive Certificate from USC and a Certificate of DEI from Cornell University. In her free time, Carol enjoys any and all forms of exercise, from Peloton classes to Stand-Up Paddle Boarding to tennis.
