Senior Vice President, ViacomCBS Digital Sales Strategy, ViacomCBS

Brendan is an accomplished digital media executive with a diverse set of experiences across sales, operations and corporate strategy functions. At ViacomCBS, Brendan Murnane serves as the Senior Vice President of Digital Sales Strategy. As such, he is responsible for strategic planning, business operations and special projects. 

Since joining CBS Interactive in 2019, Brendan has been instrumental in the ongoing integration and transformation of the Viacom and CBS Digital Sales teams. In addition to these responsibilities, Brendan also runs the Chicago digital sales organization. 

Prior to joining ViacomCBS, Brendan was a Vice President at MediaLink, a strategic advisory and business development firm servicing media, advertising, and technology clients. 

Brendan was previously the Head of Video Business Operations & Strategy at AOL, where he spearheaded strategic and financial planning, programming and OTT strategies, new commercial agreements with OTT distribution partners, the NewFronts and operational / technology integrations with GO90, Complex and Yahoo!. He also worked in AOL’s corporate strategy function, where he supported large-scale M&A and strategic partnership deal opportunities and led projects across finance, ad tech, programmatic television, video syndication and organizational alignment.

Before joining AOL, Brendan was a Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Media Practice and worked in Sony Music’s digital strategy and business development group.

Brendan is a graduate of Northwestern University (BA, Economics) and New York University (MBA), where he served as President of the Technology & New Business Group.
