Global Planning Director, WPP

As WPP’s Global Planning Director, Ben’s role is to provide our clients with strategic leadership as well as access to the best thinking and talent from across the WPP network.

Ben currently leads strategy for a number of WPP clients, including Danone, Unilever, and GSK. Ben also leads specific strategic projects for the likes of Reuters, GSK Consumer Health, the United Nations and The World Health Organisation.  

Prior to being appointed Global Planning Director, Ben spent four years as CEO of VML/Y&R’s London office, where he was responsible for a client portfolio that included Virgin Atlantic, Land Rover, the BBC and Lloyds Bank.  He was the agency’s Chief Strategy Officer prior to the CEO role.

Ben has been with WPP for 20 years, since joining from Edinburgh University on the WPP Fellowship.  In that time he has worked across Asia, North America and Europe in brand consultancy, PR and advertising.
