As the school year gets underway, Welch’s Fruit Snacks is offering assistance to teachers jumping in on the viral trend to help them #ClearTheList for school supplies and snacks.

Through its new Give Fruitfully corporate responsibility platform, the brand will purchase school supplies and snacks for 250 teachers across the United States. The brand opted to participate in the #ClearTheList movement after being tagged by “countless” teachers on TikTok about the initiative, according to the company.

To take part in the program, Welch’s is asking teachers to provide their information and classroom wish lists at GiveFruitfully.com through September 10. Once the entry window closes, 250 teachers will be randomly selected to receive up to $250 in supplies and snacks. According to the company, teachers spend an average of $820 of their own money on school supplies every year, including $121 on snacks.

“Supporting teachers through our first initiative from the platform felt like a natural fit for our brand,” said Lauren Rosenberg, director of integrated marketing communications for PIM Brands, Inc., makers of Welch’s Fruit Snacks,” in a statement. “Teachers do so much and make such a difference in so many ways, we feel incredibly proud to be able to help support their work. After hearing firsthand from the teacher community how a box of Welch’s Fruit Snacks can bring countless smiles to the classroom, we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to get involved.”
