Pepsi Reveals New Logo

Pepsi has unveiled a new logo for the first time since 2008.

“For the past 125 years, Pepsi has maintained a bold challenger mindset, a strong link to pop culture, and an innovative spirit that is constantly evolving with the times,” said Todd Kaplan, CMO of PepsiCo, in a LinkedIn post. “As the brand embarks on this next chapter, I love that our new logo and visual identity pays homage to the Pepsi brand’s rich heritage while unapologetically taking a big leap towards the future.”

Kaplan went on to explain that the new design would begin to roll out in the US this fall, followed by a global roll out across all of the brand’s physical and digital touch points.

The news comes after Pepsi has seen years of consecutive sales growth and great business performance, Kaplan told Brand Innovators last summer. “Our brand performance has been really through the charts in terms of our equity scores and cultural relevance and how much discussion we’re getting around the brand,” he said.

Kaplan has helped reposition the Pepsi brand to celebrate “unapologetic enjoyment.”
