L’Oréal Paris USA Names 2021 L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth

L’Oréal Paris USA has named its 2021 L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth class, celebrating the philanthropic work of 10 female non-profit leaders who represent the brand’s signature tagline, “Because You’re Worth It.”

“For the last 16 years, L’Oréal Paris has selected non-profit leaders across a breadth of charitable causes to be recognized as Women of Worth. Each year, ten women receive charitable funding, mentorship through the L’Oréal Paris network, as well as a national platform to share their story,” said Maude Brunschwig, Senior Vice President Marketing & Communication, L’Oréal Paris USA. “One woman is named National Honoree by popular vote, and receives an additional $25,000 to support their charitable endeavors.”

The Women of Worth program was born out of the brand’s tagline, “Because You’re Worth It,” which the brand has used for the last 50 years. L’Oreal highlights the work of 10 outstanding women and allows consumers to vote on the winner. Briana Daniel works with the homeless. Natalie Guo works for the food insecure. Lara MacGregor supports people facing cancer. Michelle Tran combats anti-Asian hate. Natalie Wilson brings awareness to missing people of Color. Pooja Chandrashekar supports girls in STEM programs. Amanda Munz addresses sustainability in the fashion world. Starr Davis educates and empowers youth against exploitation and abuse. Ashley Rhodes-Courter supports access to mental health and education in high risk families. Marian McCord supports mental health services for youth.

Consumers are called to vote on their favorite nominee through November 30 at WomenofWorth.com and then tune in to the brand’s one-hour broadcast special event on NBC and Peacock. “By championing women with unwavering resilience, bravery and courage, we hope to inspire others to own their self-worth,” Brunschwig said.

This year, L’Oreal is also extending the program to digital channels in a bid to reach new Gen Z and Millennial audiences. “We are tapping into the power of TikTok and social livestreams, launching the brand’s first-ever audio programming in partnership with iHeartMedia and debuting exclusive behind-the-scenes content to spotlight our honorees and spokespeople like never before,” said Brunschwig. “We know this work is critical in expanding the impact of this legacy program and ensure that the inspiring stories of our honorees reach new audiences.”

This event helps L’Oréal promote its six brand values including: Passion, Innovation, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Open-mindedness, Quest for Excellence and Responsibility.

The L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth program forges a meaningful connection between our consumers and everyday heroines they can see themselves in. Coming from all walks of life across the country, our featured Honorees bring to life our tagline, ‘Because You’re Worth It,’ every day by owning the power of their worth to create meaningful change in their communities.”
