American Dairy Queen is encouraging consumers to treat themselves and help sick children in the process.

Through its DQ brand, the chain is bringing back Miracle Treat Day, which raises money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. On July 28, participating restaurants will donate $1 for every Blizzard purchase to benefit local children’s hospitals.

To promote the event, the company has signed actress Vanessa Lachey (“Love is Blind”) as its campaign ambassador. “As a mother of three children, I feel personally connected to Miracle Treat Day because I want each child to get the support that they deserve,” said Lachey, in a statement. “By simply buying and enjoying a delicious Blizzard Treat, we can raise funds to support children in our communities.”

The brand is also encouraging fans to share their posts on social media for the week leading up to the promotion, using the hashtag #MiracleTreatDay, or by sharing the brand’s own posts on various social channels.

DQ has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network since 1984 and has raised more than $166 million for the charity through it Miracle Treat Day, Miracle Balloon campaign, and other local initiatives.
