Carter’s & Pizza Hut Target New Parents in New Collaboration

Baby retailer Carter’s has teamed up with Pizza Hut to create a limited-edition line of onesies aimed at new parents.

Timed to align with National Pizza Month, the three pizza-themed bodysuits for babies are available online for $14 each for a limited time beginning today October 6th.

“We know that pizza delivery is a go-to for families, whether it’s an easy meal for parents with newborns or a fun family tradition on a Friday night,” said Jenna Bromberg, vice president of brand marketing & creative at Carter’s. “So we partnered with family-favorite pizza brand, Pizza Hut, to introduce a limited-edition capsule collection of bodysuits just in time for National Pizza Month.”

“I also have a personal history and relationship with the Pizza Hut brand and have been looking for the right opportunity to bring the two brands together,” she added. “Carter’s and Pizza Hut have so much in common; they’ve been serving quality products to generations of families, and both brands have a rich heritage and tremendous strengths in innovation and category leadership.”

The campaign is aimed at busy parents of young children, who often struggle with basics like getting dinner ready. “We understand that getting dinner on the table with little ones at home can be challenging – and that parents deserve more than just a reheated casserole,” said Bromberg. “Offering pizza-loving families with babies at home an adorable pizza-themed collection of bodysuits felt right for the brand, and packaging the collection with free pizza was a no-brainer. Parents, you deserve it.”

The partnership and collection are being marketed through traditional media outreach, as well as a dedicated landing page. The retailer is also running a sweepstakes with the chance for one family to win free Carter’s and Pizza Hut for a year. “The first year of parenthood is magical, but can be unpredictable and stressful,” said Bromberg. “The idea behind the sweepstakes is to create an opportunity to reward hardworking parents by taking care of two big parenting to-do’s for a year: the wardrobe (free Carter’s for a year) and the meal prep (free pizza for a year).”

This effort supports Carter’s mission to support new parents as they try to manage life with young children.

“Carter’s has been trusted by generations of families for making parenthood easier through innovative, trusted quality apparel and experiences,” said Bromberg. “We’re taking the stress out of mealtimes and celebrating the joy of a family pizza night — and we’re giving parents a moment of levity with our cheeky co-branded bodysuits.”
