In September, a group of CMOs from top brands gathered for a Brand Innovators CMO retreat in the Hamptons to connect and do deep dives into some of the biggest issues facing the industry. A couple of these senior leaders sat down and spoke with our partner Kargo’s Jeannine Shao Collins, Chief Client Officer to discuss their careers and some of the challenges they face today.

Gabrielle Dallas Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer, Mars Wrigley North America talks about starting her career as an intern at Procter & Gamble and moving up the ranks at General Mills before joining Mars.

Chad Stubbs, SVP of Marketing, Moët Hennessy LVMH, talks about his journey into a marketing career that was inspired by his interest in figuring out what makes people click and trying to find ways to bring joy into their lives.

Tim Ellis, EVP, Chief Marketing Officer, NFL, shares that the NFL is challenged with marketing in numerous global markets with different cultures and different languages at the same time, saying that focusing on what is universal.

Craig Brommers, Chief Marketing Officer, American Eagle Outfitters shares about how he loves working on brands that need to evolve in a modern way to reconnect with a younger customer base which is something he has been focused on at American Eagle Outfitters. 

Todd Kaplan, Chief Marketing Officer, Pepsi shares how his creativity, intellectual curiosity and interest in psychology drew him to a career in marketing.
